Category[edit]
Do I have everything right with constructing categories?
Categories vs. Subpages[edit]
Do we need both? I believe yes, they serve different purpose as the content grows. Subpages will define a master structure for the content and will also prevent page naming conflicts by generating (navigable) namespaces. Categories in contrast allow organizing pages and sub pages into arbitrary alternative hierarchies. Since the master structure is also a hierarchy it's tempting to create a category for each subpage level ending up with some redundancy however last time we talked we found that only the top level subpage may need a matching category or maybe the the first two subpage levels and all subpages underneath will simply need to be tagged with this/those categories. Thoughts?
Wiki or Blog or both?[edit]
So should everything go into this wiki? Optionally we could use wordpress for blogging on projects.
- use the wiki to capture what we have, blog is the story of how we got here. For now get the rest of the group using the wiki then add the blog. Having too much at once does not get us to the end faster...
How does this get backed up?[edit]
Just don't want to lose the effort so far...
- There now is a first backup strategy implemented see: This_Server#Backup_strategy. Peter (talk) 05:29, 4 January 2016 (EST)
Keywords[edit]
So I just searched for "tsdb" hoping to find the page with the time series database links but the search result was empty because tsdb was not listed as a word anywhere. I wonder if we should add a keywords line at the end of a page as needed or should we make an effort to add proper sentences that contain the desired words somehow?
